I am an abstract expressionist, specializing in vibrant, colorful abstracts with bold brush strokes. My paintings are thickly painted works inspired by places I have been. Places and times that evoke unforgettable memories in my mind that are so special to me, I can pull colors and shapes from them to create art.

The colorful memories that inspire my paintings include times spent in special locations like the West Shore of Tahoe, growing up and visiting family on the Seacoast of New England, and many beautiful places throughout The Bay Area.   For each new painting I concentrate on one individual memorable experience or day so each painting has its own unique feeling and ambiance.

I am an impatient painter and I will paint over the first layers of my paintings and continue painting over additional layers to create thick paintings with interesting depths. In each new area of my paintings you can see the heaviness, or the lightness, of my brush strokes as I express memories and feelings.

Painting is a joyous experience for me as I only like to sit with happy memories, and through osmosis, my paintings evoke positive contemplative feelings for the viewer.
